Alfonso Berumen, City of Los Angeles Volunteer and "Data Angel"

 
 

August 21, 2019 marked the end of the Spring volunteer term for Alfonso Berumen with the City of Los Angeles as a Data Angel. Alfonso Berumen functioned as a volunteer Data Scientist along with three other local professionals. The team analyzed the L.A. rental market over time using various data sources to provide the City and Mayor’s office with a flexible Tableau dashboard. The tool will be used to understand shifts and trends in the rental market as future policies are considered.
